What a difference a friend makes campaign

NAAPIMHA is excited to be working closely with the Ad Council to launch SAMHSA’s What a Difference a Friend Makes campaign for 18-25 year old Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.   The campaign is designed to raise awareness around mental health among our young adults, to find ways to reduce the isolation brought on by depression and to reduce the tragedy for those who feel the only way to end their pain is to end their lives.   NAAPIMHA is forming a Steering Committee of young leaders who will help launch the campaign in Seattle, Honolulu, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans and Washington DC.  Persons interested in joining the campaign are encouraged to contact NAAPIMHA to see how they can organize activities in their own communities.  NAAPIMHA will post updates on the project and encourages the community to participate.
