NAAPIMHA is proud to announce the formation of the National Asian American Pacific Islander Empowerment Network that NAAPIMHA developed with funds from the US Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. NAAPIEN is a peer advocacy group that develops leadership among those who have personally experienced the challenges brought on by serious mental health issue. Members have all been on their own personal journey of recovery which adds to the depth of their insight on how to improve the current service delivery system. They are current and future leaders who will play a critical role in insuring that those with mental health problems receive the quality of care they deserve.
