Advocacy

NAAPIMHA believes advocacy plays a critical role in promoting the mental health and well being of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. We know that mental health, particularly in AANHPI communities, continues to be an area that is severely under resourced, and as result, accessing culturally competent services is a challenge our communities face.  If we don't advocate, we don't have a voice to demand resources to support a broader understanding of mental health that includes language accessible services, culturally relevant practices, and traditional modes of healing. NAAPIMHA is dedicated to advocating for AANHPI communities through policies and actions because we know mental health is something that touches everyone, and in today's world is more important than ever.
