NAAPIMHA Directors Corner: 2025 Intentions & Reaffirmations

NAAPIMHA

January 21, 2025

January is often a time of resolutions and new beginnings. Now, I don’t really believe in resolutions, at least mine never really worked out well, however, I do believe in intentions and reaffirmations. At NAAPIMA in 2025, we reaffirm our commitment to the holistic wellness (body, mind, and spirit) of our diverse AANHPI communities and individuals. We reaffirm our commitment to uplifting the voices, experiences, and leadership of those who have lived and living experience with mental health challenges to inform all the work we do. we reaffirm our commitment to justice and equity, as we work to make mental health wellness available to all people.

Our intentions are to continue to do the work we have been doing for the past 25 years in training, programs, policy, crisis intervention, and public engagement as well as to expand our work by addressing areas like suicide prevention, revitalizing our Growing Our Own curriculum for the mental health workforce, and launching a National AANHPI Leaders Community of Practice for Radical Healing and Community Care.

We look forward to your participation in 2025 as we strive to make ourselves, our families and friends, and our communities healthier and happier.

In community,
